July 14, 2015: At this City Council Special Meeting, staff introduced and waived further reading of Ordinance No. 2015-410, ordering the submission of a proposition of incurring bonded debt to the qualified voters of the City of Los Altos at a regular municipal election to be held on November 3, 2015, for the purpose of the construction and improvement of Hillview Community Center and Park.

May 27, 2015 and June 23, 2015: Two City Council Study Sessions were held and facilitated by Larry Tramutola to further discuss preparations for a potential November 2015 election.

April 28, 2015: Staff provided an update on next steps for a November 2015 Community Center bond election.

March 24, 2015: City Council received a final presentation on the Civic Center Master Plan update and Community Center Conceptual Design. Council accepted the preferred site alternative cost model, identified November 2015 as the preferred date for a potential bond election and directed staff to engage an election consultant and to begin developing a financing strategy. ​

February 10, 2015: A study session was held to allow Craig Hill of NHA Advisors and Larry Tramutola of Tramutola Advisors to present funding options for Council consideration.

January 13, 2015: Anderson Brulé Architects provided a summary of the October 25, 2014 Design Charette, proposed two preliminary Community Center design options and gathered feedback from the City Council.

November 12, 2014: A Special City Council Meeting was held to discuss the project timeline. It was decided to postpone Anderson Brulé Architects' November 25, 2014 presentation to City Council until a later date.

October 25, 2014: The City of Los Altos partnered with the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects to host a day-long design event. SCVAIA members created conceptual designs to help guide future design work for the City's redevelopment of Hillview Park and Community Center.

September 23, 2014: Anderson Brulé Architects presented the City Council with a status report on the Community Center Conceptual Design and Civic Center Master Plan update and received direction from Council on a financial methodology for funding the Hillview Park and Community Center project, as well as a prioritization of program components to be included in Phase 1 of redevelopment.

September 15, 2014: The Financial Commission met to discuss possible funding strategies for the new Hillview Park and Community Center.

August 19, 2014: A Community Workshop was held to gather public feedback and provide an opportunity for residents to participate in a site-planning exercise.

May 8, 2014: A Joint meeting with the Youth, Senior, Public Arts and Parks and Recreation Commissions was held to develop the mission statement for the new Community Center.
