Tiny Tots Tipster: May Day, Mayday . . . it’s Mother’s Day!

May Day is the flowerful celebration of Spring, yet Mayday is an international signal for distress! Interestingly, Mayday comes from the French phrase m’aider, which means “help me”. . . so, we are here to help you celebrate Mother’s Day with some fun activities, stories, and crafts for you and your young children to enjoy!

Here are some fun activities to try:

Printables:

Color your mom's name or initials
All About My Mom (print this and have Dad or older sibling help your child fill in the blanks and color)
Color & Find the Alphabet (so mom can put her feet up for a spell)

Storytime:

Movement:

I’m a Little Teapot song/dance
Dance Party: Move furniture around to make some space. Decorate with some balloons. Mom gets to choose the music and dance with the family!

Games/Activities:

Have a Teddy Bear picnic or a Madhatter tea party (see photos)
Games to motivate your children to help clean up!
Print a paper fortune teller that has activities (and chores) for your kids…or print and customize it to your liking!

Crafts/Cooking:

Make a crown for Mom
Crescent Roll Apple Pie Bites (nice for a Tea party!)
