Los Altos City Council Meetings to Transition to Hybrid Format

Los Altos, Calif. — October 29, 2022 — The Los Altos City Council voted during the Tuesday, October 11 meeting to approve transitioning virtual Council meetings to a hybrid format, allowing community members the option to participate in person or virtually.

Beginning Tuesday, November 15, Council meetings will take place at the Los Altos Community Center, due to ongoing remodeling at City Hall. Council meetings are anticipated to return to the Council Chambers in January 2023.

For the safety of visitors and staff at the Los Altos Community Center, air purifiers have been installed throughout the building. Hand sanitizer is also available at all entrances. Face coverings continue to be strongly recommended while indoors.

City Council meetings are broadcast live on the City’s YouTube channel or Comcast Channel 26. For those attending meetings virtually, links and phone numbers to participate continue to be available on all City Council agendas.

The Los Altos City Council switched to an all-virtual format in March 2020 with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the easing of the County of Santa Clara’s COVID-19 protocol, the decision was made to adopt this hybrid format.
