SANDBAG STATION

The City of Los Altos provides a sand bag station located at McKenzie Park, 707 Fremont Avenue in Los Altos. Shovels, sand and sandbags are available for residents to fill up their sandbags for rainwater diversion. While shovels are provided at this site, you may want to bring one with you just in case. The site is open 24-hours from November to April and is for residents of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.

Residents are advised that sandbags are most effective when used to prevent flooding from one foot or less of water from entering a home or business through doorways and garage door openings. For more information on sandbag sites in Santa Clara County go here
