This project consists of pipe corrosion repair using the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) repair method for the trunk sewer. The project includes rehabilitation of sewer lines that deliver sewage to the Palo Alto Regional Water Quality Control Plant. Work hours will vary between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the first week of work and 24/7 during the second week of work.
Anticipated Traffic Impacts
Work will take place on Springer Road between Rosita Avenue and Paco Drive.
- Westbound and eastbound traffic on Cuesta Drive will be open; however, drivers should expect delays.
- Left turns will be prohibited for both southbound and northbound traffic on Springer Road, with the exception of Paco Drive. Northbound traffic on Springer Road will be allowed to make left turns onto Paco Drive.
- Left turns will be prohibited from Arboleda Drive, Paco Drive, westbound Cuesta Drive and southbound Springer Road.
Traffic control in the area will be set up on April 7, 2015 and is anticipated to be in place for 2-weeks. Check back for project updates as construction begins.

Monday, April 20, 2015:
The project was completed, ahead of schedule, on Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Tuesday, March 31, 2015:
Major sewer repair work will start on Springer Road on April 7, 2015 and is expected to continue until April 24, 2015. Work will be done on one segment near Cuesta Drive. Above ground pipes will be assembled and used along the street centerline to convey sewage temporarily before the below-ground pipe repair progresses. The crews will be assembling a sewer bypass pumping system on Springer Road from Arboleda Drive to Paco Drive. This work is scheduled to take place between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please note traffic will be heavily impacted and drivers should avoid the area if possible. Detour signage will be in place along with flagmen as needed.
