Sexual Battery Incident at Los Altos Care Facility; Police Seek Public's Help in Identifying Suspect

Los Altos, Calif. — January 9, 2023 — The Los Altos Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a male suspect involved in a sexual battery incident involving an elderly female.

On Saturday, January 7, at approximately 5:45 PM, officers responded to a local care facility regarding a sexual battery incident that had just occurred. Investigation revealed that the suspect gained unauthorized access into the facility and subsequently sexually battered the victim. The suspect fled the facility via a bicycle.

Detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect from the care facility’s surveillance footage (see PDF). The Los Altos Police Department requests the public’s help for information about this incident and/or the suspect’s identity.

The suspect is described as a Black male, possibly in his twenties or thirties, approximately 5’8” to 6’ in height, with a thin build, and a shaved head. The suspect wore blue or black athletic pants and a blue or black hooded sweatshirt or jacket.
