Maintenance Services is responsible for maintenance throughout the city of Los Altos, as well as overseeing contracts for street sweeping.

Street Sign Visibility
Maintenance wants to encourage residents to trim any private trees, bushes, or shrubs that are covering any signs. Sign visibility is important for first responders and the safety of pedestrians, motorists, and bicyclists.

Emergency requests such as a sewer backup or streetlight malfunction can be reported to the phone numbers below. Choose the telephone number that aligns to the time of day when you discover the emergency.

- (650) 947-2770 to reach the Los Altos Police Department dispatch after business hours, weekends, and holidays
Maintenance Service Center crew will be sent out as soon as possible in response to your emergency.
Non-Emergency Requests
The City of Los Altos uses an online reporting application for reporting issues such as potholes, street sweeping problems, and missing street signs. We respond to requests made via online submission or by calling the Maintenance Service Center at (650) 947-2785.
