Code Enforcement is a division of Police Operations, which is responsible for enforcing the Los Altos Municipal Code. It is the primary objective of Code Enforcement to protect the City from deterioration and potential health hazards.
Code Enforcement Officers investigate citizen complaints pertaining to public nuisances, property maintenance, blight, weeds, graffiti, noise, illegal dumping, signage, zoning, and construction regulations found in the City's Municipal Code Ordinance.
