San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in Los Altos

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) will host a city-wide exhibition in Los Altos in late 2013 to early 2014. The exhibition will be free for all visitors and is organized by SFMOMA, the City of Los Altos and Passerelle Investment Company. For more information, read the SFMOMA's press release.
FREE HOLIDAY VALET PARKING DOWNTOWN

The City of Los Altos will be offering free holiday valet parking in the Central Parking Plaza between Second and Third Streets from December 14th through 24th. The Valet station will be located off of Third Street between State and Main Streets. To learn more click here.
The City of Los Altos is participating in the Steven’s Creek Trail Joint Cities Feasibility Study. The goal of this study is to determine feasible alternatives and a preferred alternative to complete a multi-use trail in the Steven’s Creek corridor.

Annual Commission Applications 2013
City Earns Clean Bay Business 20 Year Award

The City of Los Altos has earned recognition as a Clean Bay Business for 2012 by the Regional Water Quality Control Plant for the 20th year in a row. The award recognizes the City's efforts to keep pollutants out of creeks and the Bay.

100 First Street Development Underway

The former Post Office site at 100 First Street has been demolished and construction of a new residential building with 48 condominium units will soon be underway.

ANNUAL SEWER SERVICE CHARGE

The County of Santa Clara Tax Collector will soon be mailing tax bills to property owners for Fiscal Year 2012-2013. Residents are encouraged to review their bill when received. Should a resident find that their sewer charge is incorrectly calculated, and they qualify for an appeal, they must complete and submit the attached form to Harris & Associates, the City’s Sewer Service Charge consultant. Deadline to file an appeal is December 1, 2012. See form for more information.

Street Sweeping Route and Schedule

The Street Sweeping Routes have been revised so that street sweeping follows our new solid waste contractor's schedule. This will allow residents to remove their garbage and recycling containers out of the street as the sweeper will be out the following business day. For Route map and Schedule go - here
