SEWER MASTER PLAN UPDATE
DESCRIPTION:
In July of 2005, the City completed a comprehensive sanitary sewer master plan. The plan
evaluated all aspects of the city’s sewer program and provided recommendations for
improvements. These recommendations included a twenty year Capital Improvement
Program (CIP) and a twenty year financial program to fund the recommendations. One of
the recommendations was to update the sewer master plan every five years. This is
important because two important changes in the sewer program have occurred since the
master plan was created in 2005. The Town of Los Altos Hills has arranged for its’ own
collection system maintenance program and revenue collection from connected parcels,
and the City’s sewer service charge methodology changed to correlate charges with the
amount of benefit. This project will update the entire master plan, and will include an
update of the revenue and expense model.

the report, particularly the financial portion. |
