Each of the adopted documents below guide the long range planning and development for the City of Los Altos.
These plans implement the goals, policies and objectives of the City's General Plan, which is the overarching document that guides new development in the City.
The General Plan for Los Altos is the primary source of long-range planning and policy direction used to guide growth and preserve the quality of life within the community.
The General Plan is founded upon the community’s vision for the City and expresses the community’s long-term goals with respect to the physical, social, economic, and environmental character of the City. It embodies what the City is now and what it hopes to be in 2020.
